The University of Northern Iowa

Department of Art

1978

While I was taking photography, painting and printmaking classes at UNI, I was asked to take some photos of the art teachers for a quarterly publication.

The negatives have been laying around for 48 years until I recently had them scanned and thought they would be interesting to past art students and teachers.

A look at life in the University of Northern Iowa Art Department,

almost five decades ago.

Thanks to Sanford Sivitz Shaman for giving me the Art Department photo assignment. And for his ability to get me to get the pictures he needed done, even though I was easily distracted with other things.

And, thanks to Charlie Smith at BIGIA for the excellent quality negative scans.
